Time-Series Normal/Abnormal Chest X-Ray with Classification

This paired time-series PosteroAnterior (PA) chest X-ray dataset consists of two scans per patient (baseline and follow-up) acquired from the same patient. All images are rigorously de-identified, and cases with excessive noise are excluded through quality control. Each pair is labeled along two axes: ・Disease change: Changed/Unchanged (between baseline and follow-up) ・Image-level status: Abnormal/Normal Normal cases contain no inserted devices or foreign materials (e.g., tubes, lines, implants). Abnormal cases include a broad range of findings/diseases, such as post-inflammatory scarring, pneumonia, pulmonary nodules, bronchiectasis, non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease, pneumothorax, pulmonary emphysema, and asthma. The patient cohort was collected for health screening purposes at a single medical institution (a large hospital’s health screening center). Pairs were created based on screening grades as follows: ・Normal → Abnormal: Grade A → Grade D ・Abnormal → Abnormal: Grade B → Grade B ・Normal → Normal: Grade A → Grade A Grade definitions: ・Grade A: Normal ・Grade B: Abnormal (follow-up recommended) ・Grade D: Abnormal (further diagnostic work-up recommended)
